
Castle Blinds Factory Policies

- Terms of Sale:
- a. All sales require a 50% deposit to begin production. Balance
due must be paid in full at the time of installation or at pick
up by cash, credit card, certified funds or pre-arranged financing.
- b. Orders not able to be installed after 30 days of receipt
or not picked up within 30 days of notification are subject
to the customer's deposit and merchandise being forfeited, and
or legal action being taken.
- c. Due to the variations in shades, color and texture on all
materials, sample swatches may not exactly match materials used
to manufacture your order. Returns will not be accepted due
to such variations.
Measurements:
All measurements for inside mounting of blinds are subject to
standard deduction. The actual width of the blind you receive
will be smaller than the measurement written on the invoice by
an amount applicable to that product. Length may exceed ordered
width slightly due to manufacturing requirements. All measurements
are written with width first and length second.
Cancellations Policy On Custom Orders:
Castle Blind Factory reserves the right to cancel this order and
refund the customer's deposit at its sole discretion. Customer
agrees that other than the refund of their deposit, they will
have no recourse against Castle Blinds for order cancellations.
A $30.00 processing fee will charged on all cancelled orders.
No cancellation or change of order is accepted once the
order is in production.
Refunds:
Purchases paid by check require a 30 day processing period before
a refund is issued.
Purchases paid by cash over $10.00 will be issued by check from
our accountant.
Purchases paid by credit card will be issued from our sales office.
Merchandise Returns:
Only items sold from stock, which excludes custom orders, may
be returned. Returns may be subject to a 20% restocking fee. Any
returns must be made within 14 of the purchase and in the original
undamaged container and in like new condition.
Security Interest:
Buyer grants Seller a security interest in the merchandise to
secure Buyer's obligation to pay the purchase price. Seller will
have all of the rights of a secured party under the applicable
state Commercial Code.
Fees and Expenses:
- A. Charges will be assessed for removal of existing window
treatments.
- B. Buyer will pay all of Seller's fees and expenses, including
reasonable attorneys fees, that Seller incurs in enforcing rights.
- C. Buyer will pay Seller $500 to compensate Seller for time
and travel involved in the event Seller has to go to Small Claims
Court to enforce Seller's rights under this contract and Seller
prevails in court.
Return Charge:
If a check or credit charge is returned, Buyer will pay Seller
the amount charged to the Seller by its bank or credit card company,
but not less than $25. This is in addition to the value of the
returned check or credit card.
Warranty & Guarantee Policies:
A. Castle Blinds Collection:
Our window treatments have been manufactured under the strictest
quality control standards.
We offer the following warranties:
- All Castle Blinds Collection Vertical Blinds, Horizontal Blinds,
Mini Blinds, and Cellular Shades are handcrafted utilizing the
highest quality materials and are backed by a limited lifetime
guarantee.
- Castle Blinds provides a lifetime guarantee on all mechanical
and moving parts on all Castle Blinds products under normal
usage.
- Vertical vanes are guaranteed for five years from date of
purchase against warping, bowing, shrinking, twisting and surface
change. Tracks are ten years.
- Horizontal blinds are guaranteed against defects in slat materials
and workmanship for five years under normal usage.
- Wood blinds are guaranteed for 3 years against defects in
wood products. Normal warpage, variations in stain and grains
are not considered defects in natural wood.
- Cellular Shades are guaranteed for five years from date of
purchase against defects in shade material and workmanship.
This warranty does not cover installed, service calls or shipping
charges.
Warranty is considered void if blinds are damaged due to:
- Unauthorized usage or disassembly
- Abuse other than normal wear and tear
- Repair or alteration by non-authorized personnel
- Sun rot or sun fading
- Improper cleaning
- Invoice must be retained for warranty policy claims. Good
for as long as original purchaser owns the blind. A service
fee will be charged for in home servicing after 180 days from
date installed. A service fee will be charged for in home servicing
of all orders not installed by Castle Blinds.
B. All Other Brand Name Products:
Castle Blinds stands behind the guaranties and warranties
that are written from each brand name manufacturer.
Warranty is considered void if blinds are damaged due to:
- Unauthorized usage or disassembly
- Abuse other than normal wear and tear
- Repair or alteration by non-authorized personnel
- Sun rot or sun fading
- Improper cleaning
Invoice must be retained for warranty policy claims. Good
for as long as original purchaser owns the blind. A service fee
will be charged for in home servicing after 180 days from date
installed or picked up. A service fee will be charged for in home
servicing of all orders not installed by Castle Blinds.
